NAVAJO SQUASH BLOSSOM NECKLACE – VINTAGE – HUGE
$3,000.00
Yes, this is an exquisite squash blossom necklace. The workmanship show “old age beauty” from 1900-1920s is what the previous owner verified. His grandfather and father were both Navajo silversmiths and this one came from his grandfather’s friend. It is stamped sterling on the blossoms, but is not marked with an artisan mark. I cannot determine the stone but it is bright blue with pretty brown/gold matrix. There are three large squash on both sides, with leaves or feathers and thunderclouds. There are three turquoise stones on the naja, the center one being the same size as the side pieces. Handmade beads with round and oval bench beads. Measures 16″ long and the naja is almost 4″ wide.
