HISTORIC FIGURAL NAVAJO WEAVING – Very Large – 1920s
Extraordinary Navajo weaving, which was most likely made in the 1920s. It may well have been woven in the Gallegos Trading Post area. A Hopi kachina is depicted in this weaving as it was not allowed by the tribe Elders to show a Navajo Yei or deity at this early time in history. In very good condition. A large and dramatic size: 56″ x 87″.
