A very pretty and simple designed Navajo squash blossom necklace.  It has four “friendship hands” squash on each side and the naja has a lovely triangular shaped piece of turquoise and also the “friendship hands” as well.  It is sterling silver and this squash is a lighter weight for those who prefer a gorgeous and noticeable necklace without the heaviness some squash blossom necklaces have.  It measures 14″ long and is strung on string which gives it an older age factor.  The naja and squashes are sandcast.  The lady I bought it from polished (oh, no, no, no) it.  So without the proper patina I am guessing the 1970s, but probably older.  A lovely piece of Navajo jewelry.
