A beautiful and historic Kawaiisu polychrome basketry bowl. It is from the 1890s to 1900 time frame and is in very good condition for being over 100 years old. There is some light fading on the outer designs which is a zigzag design around the entire bowl and then also coyote tracks spread throughout. There are some missing stitches at the rim, two places with maybe 3 and 5 stitches and several more places where one stitch is broken. However I see no missing stitches throughout the body of the basket. Size: 4.5″ x 8″. All in all a super basket for your collection.
